My name is Steve Decker. I came to appraisal work from a background in commercial and property & casualty insurance. When I discovered the machinery and equipment appraisal industry, I was struck by how much time was wasted on process instead of craft — manual spreadsheets, redundant data entry, and report templates that had not evolved in years.

I searched for a tool that could handle data collection, asset photos, depreciation, and USPAP-compliant report generation in one place. I found one application that had some of what I needed, but it was not built for this industry. When I asked about customization, the answer was simple: "Build a specific app for your need."

So I did. I translated over 800 completed appraisals worth of hard-won experience directly into a purpose-built platform. Every feature in Genable comes from a real workflow problem I encountered and solved. I have done the hard work — so you do not have to.
